Scrapings
Skin scrapings can be used to tell us many things about the
person they came from, from the general health of that person to
finding the remains of what they have been handling such as food or
materials. More often skin scrapings are used to determine whether
or not an infection or disease has occurred.
When being transported to a laboratory for testing, skin scrapings
need to be kept clear from anything that might contaminate them and
so storing them in a safe and secure environment is a must if you
are to produce an accurate analysis of the sample. For this reason
Dermaco developed the Dermapak range of specimen containers and
envelopes designed for holding skin scrapings and other samples.
